LocalUtopia

Draw lines to claim territory and uncover the hidden illustration in each stage — a cozy pixel-art take on the classic Qix, made for portrait screens.

How to Play Move along the border lines. Step into the open field to start drawing a trail, then reach another line to close it off. The area you seal away is claimed and reveals part of the picture underneath, but any region where an enemy is standing stays open. Claim enough of the map before time runs out to clear the stage.

You lose a life if:

  • your trail crosses itself
  • an enemy touches your trail
  • an enemy touches you while you are drawing

The border is safe. After an enemy hits you, you get a short moment of invincibility.

Enemies

  • Cats, clouds, footprints and guards drift from spot to spot at random
  • Coins keep falling from the top of the screen
  • Spiders wander the field and spin webs that slow you down when you step on them

Stages Five stages, each with its own character, music and time limit. Clear all five to unlock the bonus stage.

Controls

  • Keyboard: WASD or Arrow Keys
  • Touch: on-screen direction buttons

Notes

  • Best played in portrait. It works on mobile browsers too.
  • Sound starts after your first tap or click (a browser rule).
  • Progress is saved in your browser, so it won't carry over to a different browser or device.
  • Mute, BGM/SFX volume and data reset are in the settings menu on the title screen.
